RDC data in Anaplan helps Brussels Airlines streamline planning, saving time and improving insights.

The challenge

Brussels Airlines required frequent updates on its flight stations costs, in particular in the recent inflationary post covid years. In order to have the right cost information, a long and manual process was in place.

How RDC helped

Brussels Airlines integrated RDC Airport Charges data into Anaplan, a planning tool which is extremely flexible and can seamlessly integrate external datasets, in order to automate the manual process. In this way the continuous 18 months planning process always has to up to date airport cost information included.

Combining the strength of Anaplan with the RDC data feed, the functional owners as well Controllers can now spend time analysing the data, rather than gathering the data. Moreover Brussels Airlines is able to use the data on tail optimization. The finance team now owns their own planning system without reliance on IT, which has improved efficiency and innovation timelines.
