RDC's LOOP gives Geneva Airport access to accurate aircraft data for billing and environmental needs.

The challenge

When an aircraft operates to/from an airport for the first time, it is important that this is correctly logged in the airport operational database. Having accurate data by aircraft registration is needed for billing purposes as well as environmental monitoring. If this isn’t correctly logged then aeronautical billing for the operation can be incorrect. Rectifying this can be time consuming down the line for the airport and the airline.

How RDC helped

RDC’s LOOP has helped by allowing airlines operating from Geneva to securely exchange their fleet data and documentation with the airport. This in turn has meant Geneva has access to accurate aircraft data for operations, finance and environmental monitoring.

Quotes

LOOP is already more than just a complimentary tool. The benefits are already significant in the reduced number of e-mail exchanges. In addition we have opted to stop storing PDF copies of the noise certificates, as they are contained in LOOP. LOOP also encouraged us to undertake an update of our entire registrations database.

The permanent accuracy of the data is especially important for our colleagues from the financial and environment departments. Re-invoicing and refunding is way more time consuming than just the database update of the corresponding item. That’s why the notification of changes in LOOP is a key element when it comes to time saving and therefore productivity increase.
