RDC has calculated a Sustainability Rating based on an airlines' commitment to / interest in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and sustainability. It scores an airlines' investment and interest in SAF as well as wider sustainability commitments based on the following criteria:

• Partnership/Development: agreement between the airline and one provider to test/develop/produce SAF
• SAF offtake agreement: arrangement between the airline and the producer to purchase SAF
• Stake in production: partnership in the SAF production (airline as a partner in the company)
• CO2 offsetting: airline and/or passenger carbon emissions offsetting
• Sustainability program: SAF as a criteria of the airline sustainability program
• Efficiency of their fleet: to reflect investment in more modern, efficient equipment types
