Welcome to RDC’s Aviation Emissions Report for March 2025, looking at global passenger related aviation emissions with a focus on the 25 largest markets by total emissions.

Highlights from this month’s report include:
- Global passenger-related emissions in March 2025 were 66m tonnes
- 15 of the 25 largest markets for emissions are still below March 2019 levels with Hong Kong showing the largest % decrease at -30%
- Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Spain saw the highest growth with aviation emissions in March 2025 growing by +24%, +19% and +17% respectively when compared to March 2019 levels
- Overall global aviation emissions January to March 2025 were 191m tonnes, 3m tonnes below January to March 2019 levels.
Spotlight on Denmark
- Passenger-related emissions from airports in Denmark were 0.19m tonnes in March 2025, -16% below 2019 levels
- Denmark ranked 46th largest country for emissions in March 2025
- Norwegian Air Shuttle had the lowest emissions per ASK out of the 10 largest airlines for emissions over the last 12 months
- When looking at emissions by airport over the last 12 months, airline operations from Odense - Beldringe Airport had the lowest emissions per ASK
